Recipe for a Positive Change

When we find things in our lives that we are not satisfied with, we often dwell on them, talk about them and generally try to figure out 'why me?".

The first ingredient in my recipe for change is Taking Responsibility. The only thing that you have any ability to change is your own thoughts, so you first need to acknowledge that the situation you are in now was created by thoughts YOU have had in the past. Yes, YOU are responsible for where you are now.

I'm sorry if that's a shock to you but the good news is, that the person who did that thinking is the person you were before, not the person you are in this moment now.

The second ingredient is Changing Your Story. We all tell ourselves a story about who we believe we are. "I am a busy person and don't have time", "I'm not qualified to earn any more than I do now", "I find it hard to stay positive", "I'm not very good in relationships" etc etc

These are beliefs that limit our thinking and therefore our potential. What beliefs (often disguised as excuses) are holding you back?

When we release these ideas by changing our story that we tell ourselves, we allow our mind to think better thoughts which is the only way to create better results.

The final ingredient is Being That Person. When you believe that you actually are the person who lives this new story, you will attract the things that fit with this new image. "I have plenty of time to do everything that is important to me", "I can easily attract as much money as I want to", "I am consciously creating a positive future for myself", "People are attracted to my positive personality"....

People who consciously focus on these positive new stories and emotionally commit to being that person, will find that they naturally DO the things that this new person would do, and therefore they will HAVE the things that this person has.

So if you were to say "When I HAVE enough money, I will invest in a new business" you are actually focusing on the fact that you don't have enough money now. If you choose to BE the person who has a new business, you can then DO the right things to HAVE the money and success you want.

This is a proven recipe for creating positive change in your life. So will you stay where you are, or choose to BE someone with a different story to create new results?
