Sometimes it can be hard to maintain your enthusiasm and keep your eye on the goal, here are some great tips to give you instant motivation so you will be highly energised and more focused on your way to achieving your goal.

Know what you want specifically.
Before you can be motivated you have to know what it is you want specifically.
Give yourself some time and space to think clearly, and ask yourself what you really want and why you want it. Think of at least 5 good reasons why having your outcome is so important to you.
Next imagine what how you feel when you have your dream as a reality. What will you see, hear and feel, once you have it?

Take Consistent targeted daily actions
Create an action plan which will list the specific actions you need to take to move you toward your dream.
For example if you want to get yourself fit for a duathlon, work out your time frame, and each day do something toward your goal, whether it is a short walk building up to running or some form of exercise every day.
Consistency is the key here, small actions daily will be much better than once in a blue moon!

Mind your language
Ensure you use the power of positive language to motivate yourself, for example remind yourself frequently of your dream, what you are doing to get yourself there.Use positive affirmations to stimulate your unconscious mind. Remember the mind does not know the difference between real and imagined, so if you practice in your mind , and imagine yourself already having achieved the goal , your brain will move you toward your goal more easily.

Develop flexibility
If you find yourself lacking some of your motivation when working toward what you want, ask yourself what else could you do to achieve the same or similar result. Sometimes it is easy to get loose faith, when you come up against a brick wall.Instead of being stopped in your tracks, brainstorm ways of getting yourself over the wall, or around it...
Be creative, there always will be other ways to get where you want to be, just a matter of trying them.

Celebrate each small success on the way.
When you are working toward a BHAG ( big hairy audacious goal) sometimes it is easy to forget to celebrate the small successes along the way. Make sure you do!
Review your progress regularly, ie each week, or so, and make a special effort to celebrate what you have achieved so far.
