[Personal Development, Motivational Speakers, and Public Speaking]

My cloud came when I found myself sitting in the waiting room of the eye department at Dunedin Public Hospital on the 27th March, 1997. I couldn't have imagined then the life I am living now. Talk about being blind! In this article I share with you how I went from that day to the celebrations of my 10 years blind party.

Getting What you Want – Knowing Your Outcome by Zoe Wilkinson

[NLP Training, Life Coaching, and NLP Coaching]

One of the biggest questions which comes out of the NLP models is “What do you want?” If you come to see me for any anything, then that will be the first question I ask you. It is something you could begin asking yourself more often. What do I want? Often this is interpreted as “what don’t I want” and can be distracting and a wee bit limiting, but getting clear on what you actually want is a valuable place to begin.

You are NOT your Thoughts and Feelings by Karletta Abianac

Generally, until we learn better, we identify ourselves with our mind. We think our thoughts are simply “me thinking” and our feelings are “me feeling”.

DON’T LEAVE UNTIL YOU HAVE LEFT! by Tracy Keith

[Executive Coaching, Career Coaching, and Workplace Coaching]

I recently watched a TED video with Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and it stimulated my thinking further. If you have started looking for another job it does not mean you have to mentally check out of your current one. This is a common occurrence; most people who have had enough of their current environment will no longer participate fully, will shy away from additional responsibility and ignore any new opportunities that might come their way. Does this sound like you?

Time by Nowspace Meditation

[Meditation Classes]

The title of the book authored by Per Petterson, "I Curse the River of Time" is an appropriate indication of how many people feel they are slaves of time. Time is actually a very elastic thing. Psychologically, the experience is usually that time flies when we're having fun, and it slows when we’re bored.

Are you Afraid of Confrontation and want to change? by Zoe Wilkinson

Viewed 217 times
[NLP Training, Business Coaching, and Communication Training]

There are times when we need to push past our natural inclination and ‘not be ourselves’ to get the result we need. In a performance review you may need to tell someone they are not measuring up. Do you tiptoe around the point, or are you able to talk about the things you need to, in a way that confronts the problem and sets a plan in motion to overcome it? Some confrontation avoiders see every hard conversation as a potential confrontation and often will do nothing and hope it goes away.

Talk to Your Inner Child as though you were talking to a Real child by Narelle Stratford

[Hypnotherapy, NLP, and Emotional Wellbeing]

The other day, I received an email from one of my clients who said she realised that she was not talking to her inner child because she was feeling resistance and felt uncomfortable while talking to her inner child. So, she stopped. And that meant, she didn't get to feel good. It was as though a light bulb went off in her mind, as she realised that she was listening to her feelings instead of being a strong and conscious person who could take charge of her thoughts.

It’s all about enabling yourself to pick up information through your senses, principally so you can gather information more effectively as you work with people. Building on and developing sensory acuity means that people not only learn how to gather information about those around them, but also gather insightful information about their own behaviours and attitudes, empowering them in creating more deliberate, helpful styles of engagement with others.
