About Lietta Powell

Lietta was brought up on a farm in the Chatham Islands, with parents divorcing and re-marrying; she somehow, through the maze of her youth succeeded at school and then embarked on a career at the age of 16 in Hairdressing. She travelled as all Kiwi kid'z do for her 2 year OE in UK -(lots of life experience at this tiem of life!). She returned to New Zealand (home) and began finding herself throguh achieving her Barbering Qualification to compliment her Hairdressing Qualification.

Her life changed when she picked up a book entitled Don't sweet the small stuff, and it's all small stuff" by Richard Carlson, next came training as a volunteer phone counselor for Youthline. She became a volunteer mentor for teens and realised working with youth was her TRUE PASSION. As a result she completed a Diploma in Youth Work, and specialises to this day in the transofrmation of youth and families.
