What to expect

I will ask you to describe what you have come to see me about.

I may say to you "how do you want to be when the counselling/therapy is all finished?"

Having a goal; Once you know how you want to be at the end of the counselling/therapy, thenyou and I will set some small steps towards reaching that goal. I will support you to take these steps.

Enquiry and Reflection; During Counselling/Therapy I will help you to notice, accept and express any feelings/thoughts that are related to what you have come to see me about.

Tools to practice; I will suggest strategies for you to take away from the session to practice.  These can help you to achieve your goal.
