What a week it has been in the history of aviation! A volcano erupting in Iceland has caused so much disruption leaving people stuck in different countries all over the world. I was in the Philippines at the time, and was not much disturbed by it coming back to New Zealand, but relatives and many others did find themselves stranded for days. While some people were happy about a few more days aboard, covered by insurance, others wanted to be home and wished they had not gone away.

When my friend Sara came back from living in Australia for a year, she was over the moon with the great times she had accumulated there. She had done so many new things and many great friends travelling around. But there was one thing which she wished she could feel differently about: her crippling fear of spiders which she had for quite some years and which was disabilitating.
