Massage with Cedric A Sunier

All my massages, Relaxing, Therapeutic  and  seated massages are based on the following rule “give to the body what it needs and not what the mind only wants”. I learned this rule when I worked with clients who suffered from motor disabilities. If they were touched in the wrong place they instantaneously retracted physically so I had to start all over again to help them relax.

Before I start the massage I will ask you questions to find out your medical history and current state of mind to better understand what your body expectations are. Only then, will I be able to suggest  a combination of massage techniques and essentials oils to give you the best results depending on your needs.

Benefits of Massage

My first taste of massage was during my studies of Podiatry in 1992 where I learnt how to give feet and legs massages.

This developed into a keen interest. From there, I took different courses during my continuous learning, with osteopaths, massage therapists and alternative practitioners, to further develop my massage skills. I then completed a Diploma of Alternative Health to have the naturopathy aspect with massages, in 2003 in Germany and practiced as a qualified Swiss Heilpraktiker (Health Practitioner) in my own business. For this reason, my massages are a synthesis of techniques and allow me to help my clients who have very varied needs.

Over the past 13 years, I have had my own clinic in Geneva (Switzerland). I was also part of a group of massage therapists who did traditional massage, reflexology and Shiatsu for people with disabilities (children and adults),  as part of an association called “Cerebral Genève".

Now, in New Zealand, I have my own clinic and also contract my services to the Cancer Society by giving meditation sessions and massages to kiwis with cancer and those in their last stage of life. The use of Bach flower remedies and essential oils is a wonderful addition to give these brave individuals more serenity. I was also very enthusiastic by giving massages during the Relay for Life 2009 which somewhere had reconnected me to my massages with swimmers in Geneva during the annual event "Geneva swim 24 hours" in Switzerland.
