Rae has taken an unlikely path to personal training, graduating from university with a myriad of completely unrelated qualifications: Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts majoring in politics, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies.
After trying to change the world (or at least the country) by working in Parliament for 3 years for New Zealand's first Rastafarian MP, she decided 'my life should be about me' and took a year off in 2003 and got a 'fun' job at a gym. She's been there ever since.
The major areas of interest for Rae are the mental and physical challenges of weight loss, managing pain and reducing stress. She also finds a rapidly growing part of the mybod business is health coaching, working with individuals to have the life they want.
Rae also works with aspiring personal trainers at the New Zealand Institute of Sport and is committed to her ongoing development via the CHEK Institute and the Personal Training Academy.
