About Kim Chamberlain

Kim is a professional speaker on inspirational and educational topics and a trainer in communication skills. She is the founder and principal of Successful Speaking.

When Kim was 13, at school in the UK, a visiting missionary teacher came to the school and described her experiences of living and working in East Africa. That brief visit inspired Kim so much that she and her family made the move to East Africa 30 years later, leaving their comfortable life in Wellington and arriving in Uganda with nowhere to live, no work to go to, no source of income and no schools for the children. What followed was two years of life changing experiences. She shares this in her conference speech 'Taking a risk'.

Kim is currently based in the UK.

You never know where your inspiration will come from, which is why Kim is keen to 'pass on' the inspiration she received from the missionary teacher, and is happy to return to New Zealand to speak at conferences and events.
